it’s all a reflection (2016)
“What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind.” – Buddha
Studies have shown that the power of the mind influences more than just our internal state – it also impacts our external realities. In a world that is overwhelmed with negative messages, it is easy to adopt or adapt these to develop our own personal negative internal loops. Whether consciously or subconsciously, we all have them: messages that cause us to live in fear, prevent us from living to our full potential and leave us feeling like we just aren’t worthy enough, not talented enough, not pretty enough, not good enough.
The being in this film is a physical representation of negative internal loops and their manifestation into our real worlds. By giving these nonphysical thoughts a physical presence, I am asking you to reflect on your own internal loops. By becoming more conscious of the thoughts that we program our minds with, we can actively strive towards thinking, and as a result, living, more positively.
It is up to us and only us to harness the infinite power that we all have within to create the reality that we desire. It is all a reflection.

Clarence (2015)
These words were directly sourced from a recorded conversation that I had with a homeless man named Clarence in Seattle, WA. He made such an impression on me that I asked if I could record our conversation to create some kind of tribute to his spirit. He replied "Man, I'd do anything for art!" These words are the result of that conversation.
When live, each can plays 30-40 seconds of Clarence's words.
The Forgotten Women (2015)
I have always been drawn to the void, to the space that’s neither “here” nor “there.” The Forgotten Women began as a present tense performance art piece and was then transformed into the timelessness of cyanotype. Perhaps unsettling, the Forgotten Women are not a dark force, but rather embody this state of the unknown, which is, after all, our greatest and most intangible fear. Resembling the Mother, Maiden, and Crone figures, The Forgotten Women represent all facets of Femininity. They are protectors, lovers, and nurturers; will they let you get close enough for them to let you in?
